The great project team needs more than just the technical skills as it takes the right mix of people in the team, personalities and attitude to have the results required. The legal expert, the lawyer, is required by the project manager to determine the legality of the project in the given region, to ensure it complies with all the local and international legal standards. He is also expected to obtain the legal documentation from the governments and the necessary authorities.
The Engineering Economist is a very vital person to the project manager, as he is required to access the viability of the project, by analyzing its cost against the expected outcome, to determine its profitability (Wysocki).
Engineering discipline is the most important section. They are the backbone of the project as they are required to exert their Engineering knowledge in solving the technical challenges and developing the design project.
Challenges
The most challenge that project managers face in the field it having a team with inadequate skills for the project. However well trained the team could be, some projects could require the skills that the team does not possess. It is, therefore, important to access the available workers and recommend further training, outsource or the manager can opt to hire an additional staff. The project can be successful if the manager and the members are responsible in their role; however, lack of accountability is projected manager’s challenge, as it results to blame-games, finger-pointing hence unproductive results.

Is important for the project manager to determine proper communication with the project team and identify the information that requires to be conveyed to them. A team that lacks the required skills requires adequate training. The manager should document all the core requirement skills in attaining the goal of the project. The manager should, therefore, offer additional resources and external advisors and other methods to fill the skills gap.
